Jorge A. Azpurua is an accomplished businessman and entrepreneur who has worked dominantly in the financial industry. He has specialized in issues related to mergers and acquisitions. Jorge Azpurua's career began with Violy, Byorum and Partners LLC, a financial boutique company that was founded in 1996 in New York City.

In 1997, Jorge Azpurua helped to acquire Pro Vivienda Entidad de Ahorro y Prestamo C.A, a housing financial institution that turned into a Universal Bank under the BanPro label. While he worked there, Jorge A. Azpurua saw BanPro grow into a highly successful mortgage specialized bank—one of the most highly respected in Venezuela. The bank would eventually be sold, enabling Jorge Azpurua to serve as Executive Director for Grupo Eiffel, a family real estate company, from 2007-2011. He was also a member of Grupo Eiffel's Executive Committee and Board of Directors for a number of years.

Grupo Eiffel is a family business, but this does not mean it is small. By 2010, the company employed more than 1,400 people. He was pleased to be able to work in his position of Executive Director and to help lead the company to greater heights. He learned a great deal about business operations during his time there and has used that knowledge and experience in his career later.
